GREATER OCEAN TOWNSHIP CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

CELEBRATES COMMUNITY, SERVICE AND SUCCESS!

 

Ocean Township, NJ – The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC) held their Annual Installation and Awards Luncheon of Tuesday, June 8 at The Renaissance, Ocean Township.

 

Three local students and 6 community leaders were acknowledged for their achievements and contributions to the Greater Ocean Township Community.

 

High school seniors, Amina Noorzaie, Elliot Topper and Hannah Mains were the 2021 recipients of the GOTCC scholarships.

 

This year’s Community Ambassador Award went to County Commissioner Director Thomas Arnone for his relentless efforts championing the Monmouth County CARES Act which generated economic assistance for our struggling small business community during this difficult pandemic year.

 

GOTCC C also recognized Ocean Township Police Chief Steven Peters with the Community Service Longevity Award in honor of his dedication to protecting the property and persons in our community. Chief Peters will be retiring this month after 34 years with the department.

 

 The GOTCC Beautification Award went to Wharton Realty Group for the revitalization and improvements to the Seaview Square Shopping Center.

 

Monmouth Medical Center was acknowledged for Outstanding Community Service for the dedication, compassion and resilience of the doctors, nurses and staff – our frontline heroes during the COVID-19 crisis. 

 

The Wanamassa Fire Company was recognized for 100 years of protecting and serving the Greater Ocean Community with the GOTCC Legacy Award.

 

The first-ever Innovator Fundraiser Award was given to Jason Chmura, President Ocean Township Little League for the original idea of shaving his head and beard in order to raise funds and awareness for the organization.

For over three decades, the Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC), a member-based non-profit organization has promoted the business community in the Township of Ocean and surrounding counties in NJ; and given back to the community through a variety of outreach programs.

AWARDS AND INSTALLATION LUNCHEON JUNE 8

 

Ocean Township, NJ – The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC) will be holding the annual Awards and Installation Luncheon at The Renaissance, Ocean Township on Tuesday, June 8.

 

The annual luncheon is GOTCC’s opportunity to honor our local 2021 high school senior scholarships winners as well as acknowledge outstanding community service by distinguished representatives of the Greater Ocean Township community.

 

The GOTCC scholarship program’s mission is to help defray college expenses for well-rounded college-bound students who have not only excelled academically but managed to find the time for extra-curricular activities both inside and outside school.

 

The Chamber will also be honoring various distinguished members of the Greater Ocean Township community including this year’s GOTCC’s Community Ambassador, County Commissioner Tom Arnone.

 

The GOTCC will also be installing two new members to the Board of Directors at the luncheon.

 

“We are pleased to be able to continue this long tradition of recognizing outstanding local high school students and some of our notable community leaders,” said Board President David Kolakowski. “It’s been a rough year for both students and local citizens but as always, many individuals rise to the occasion and accomplish extraordinary deeds. We look forward to the opportunity of honoring them at this annual event.”
